Concrete Recycling Centers of Puerto Rico

CRC is a family-owned and operated custom concrete crushing business specializing in creating recycling solutions from waste. If it’s concrete used in road building, construction, manufacturing, or anything in between, CRC is here to help you find the best way to ♻ Recycle it.

Conveniently Located

Our locations are strategically located around Puerto Rico to provide convenient access to disposal and materials.

Recycling saves money, provides a cost-effective alternative to using limited fresh natural resources, helps preserve our natural environment, and lowers the carbon footprint of your project.

Crushing Concrete

CRC dump facilities accept the disposal of concrete product waste. CRC crushes and processes concrete from demolition to remove metal such as reinforcing steel and then screens to appropriate sizes for many of the same applications as conventional crushed aggregates.

Waste Upstreaming

In Puerto Rico, concrete recycling is part of a larger, robust environmental strategy shaped by key legislation. With over 3 million tons of non-hazardous waste going to landfills annually, an estimated 1.7 tons is deemed recyclable, highlighting the importance of effective waste management initiatives. The Solid Wastes Authority Organic Act (Act 70 of 1978) established the Solid Waste Authority, focusing on developing infrastructure and strategies for efficient waste management, including concrete. This effort was further reinforced by the Solid Wastes Reduction Act (Act 70 of 1992), which mandates comprehensive recycling programs across all municipalities, targeting a wide range of materials. These Acts signify Puerto Rico’s commitment to sustainable waste management and recycling, with an aim to significantly reduce environmental impact. However, there’s a notable gap between the ambitious recycling targets set by the legislation and the actual recycling rates achieved, indicating the need for enhanced efforts in areas like concrete recycling. Our initiative aligns with these legislative frameworks and seeks to address this gap, striving to improve concrete recycling and contribute to Puerto Rico’s environmental sustainability goals.
